I do not do this for money; this is not my day job. I do this for fun. That means that I am fitting in soap-making runs in the middle of a busy travel/speaking/writing schedule. Depending on what's going on in my life it may take me a while to make your soap.
I do not keep an inventory of soap on hand; each order is generally a special batch. This means you get some choice in terms of scent and/or color. It also means you have to wait 3-4 weeks depending on my work-load and the weather. When soap is cast into complex shapes, you have to let it dry a bit before you can demold it. Then you have to let it finish saponifying and curing before it is ready to use. For large batches, I only have a limited number of molds - if you want 12 "fight club" soaps that's 4 batches; they will all look slightly different and it will take longer to produce them due to dry-down time in the molds.
Because these are natural soap cast while liquid, there may be tiny bubbles in the surface, or slight flaws resulting from demolding. I will not ship soap that has clear blemishes, but minor imperfections should be expected.
I have a large number of fragrance oils (I only use all-natural essential oils) so you may request specific scent/color combinations, with the proviso that I may not have them or a particular scent may not be compatible with soap-making. For example, vanilla, clove, cinammon ... Those scents cause soap to clot or stain. Others, such as lemon, lemon verbena, black pepper, hickory smoke, lemongrass, ginger, rosewater, peach, lime, are just fine.
All of my soaps are made from the finest all-natural ingredients and are generally dramatically superior to the crap you buy at a store. The only additive you'll encounter in them is likely a pinch of titanium dioxide as a whitener if the soap is skin-toned, and a bit of mica dye. If you want completely natural, request "no colorant, no whitener" in your paypal comments area.
The recipe I make most of my soaps from is: shea butter, beeswax, almond oil, castor oil, coconut oil, palm oil.
Soaps come individually wrapped. Store in a dry place.
Because of the potential that someone may stick soap in their eye, snort it, or eat it, I must say: use at your own risk.
Some of these may also be available as in-the-white plaster, candles or resin bronze paper-weights; contact me for more information.
Before you ask: "why no men?" The simple answer is that a soap-mold has to be open in the back so the soap can dry and cure; a long narrow mold wouldn't work. I've tried.
